Potential Opportunities and Priority Problem Resolution

Most business leaders have potential opportunities they are not taking action on, and priority problems they are too busy to resolve.

When I chat to a potential new client, one of the first questions I ask them is “What Potential Opportunities are you aware of but, for whatever reason, are not taking action on, and What are your 3 top priority problems right now.”

The majority of them quickly share 3 to 5 potential opportunities, or priority problems.

Their reasons for not taking action range from: “I am spending too much time working IN my business, not ON my business”

To: “I am not happy with how my top team is functioning. I think some of them are not up to scratch, or in the wrong role.”

Identify, Prioritise & Take Action on Potential Opportunities & Priority Problems

So, when I start to work with a new client their potential opportunities and priority problems are the first things we address.

If their potential opportunities or priority problems are covered in my 5 comprehensive processes, i.e.:

  • Financial Management and Reporting,
  • Exit Strategy, &
  • Leadership.

In most cases, we can find suitable solutions working together as a team, and if necessary involving other members of the executive team.

But if some of them are outside the scope of the above programs and modules and require knowledge or technical skills that I don’t have the required level of expertise in, I am now referring them to other business advisors who have the necessary skills and experience.
