On 14th July 2016 the acquisition of LinkedIn to Microsoft was announced.
This is the biggest Dotcom sale so far, and could have far reaching implications for every online business.
Microsoft has basically paid $26 Billion for the biggest database on professional people in the world, with over 400 million registered users and more than 100 million visitors every month.
It will be interesting to see what they do with it? Maybe it will become the Business professional’s alternative to Facebook?
LinkedIn has recently introduced its own version of “newsfeed” and it’s worldwide of over 400 million professionals is a goldmine waiting to be tapped.
